Exciting news to share: A new adaptation for Les beaux malaises is confirmed!
The upcoming adaptation, produced by Belgian Mafia Films (Adrian Bralion and Michel Daemen) in collaboration with La Belge Prod and Belgium’s RTBF, is set to begin filming on September 1st in Brussels. Scheduled to premiere at the start of RTBF’s 2026 Fall season, this adaptation marks a significant milestone as the first series to be adapted in both Flemish and French languages in Belgium.
Star comedian Kody will step into Martin Matte’s role, while the part of Julie will be played by actress Naima Rodric, known for her roles on the series Enquête de famille (TF1) and Demain nous appartient (RTBF and TF1).
Created by Martin Matte and co-written with François Avard, Les beaux malaises was produced by Encore Television and Matte TV in collaboration with Quebecor Content, and aired on TVA, where it earned a 45% market share and won 43 awards and prized.
